The town of Měnín is located in the Brno- venkov district and it lies approximately 8 km southeast of Brno, close to the motorway D2. The industrial zone SOUTH, is situated on the southern outskirts of the town, not far from the secondclass road No. 416. For investors, this area of 17 ha (42 acres) offers ideal conditions for warehouses, workshops, parking areas for cars and trucks as well as medium industrial production. Currently, 13 ha (32 acres), of the whole area are available. These are now communal facilities. The planned expansion in spring 2004 will enlarge the available area of 4 ha (10 acres), which are at the moment owned by the state. The motorway Brno - Bratislava (with the nearest exit Bučina) is 3.2 km distant from the industrial zone and the motorway D1 Praha - Brno - Olomouc is about 10 km distant. At the moment, investors occupy 10% of the area available.
