(509) Kyjov - Jih (5.5 ha)

The town of Kyjov, the historical center of the northern part of the Hodonín district, has a long tradition in education, enterprising and industry (especially in the fields of food industry, engineering and glass works). The current number of inhabitants reaches 12,500. The main advantage of this zone is the efficiency of the industrial experienced labour force. Kyjov lies approx. 50 km southeast of Brno, on the first class road No. 54 connecting Brno and Slovakia, and the railway linking Brno with Veselí na Moravě. The distance from the nearest motorways (D2 Brno - Bratislava and D1 Praha - Brno - Olomouc) measures 35 km. The industrial zone Kyjov - South is located on the southern outskirts of the town, by the second class road No. 432. This zone consists of an entirely stateowned area of 5.5 ha (13.6 acres), designated for light industry - manufactured products with a high added value. This zone is a part of a broader industrial area that is not in direct contact with the residential areas. There is a possibility to use the railway siding situated 300 meters from the industrial zone. Within this zone, potential investors can obtain the advantages of the standard investment incentives offered (discounts on income taxes, special regime of custom duties), as well as other allowances, such as a subsidy of 200,000 CZK for every new job opportunity or a subsidy for retraining of employees, which can reach up to 35% of the eligible business expenses. Because of the high rate of unemployment in this region, the minimum level of investment in order to qualify for these investment incentives has been reduced.
