(523) Vracov - Olšíčka (6.4 ha)

Vracov is a town with 4,500 inhabitants, situated to the north of the Hodonín district. This part of the district is characteristic for its intensive agriculture as well as for its tradition of industrial manufacturing, particularly in the fields of engineering and metalworking.

The town of Vracov lies approx. 70 km southeast of Brno, on the first class road No. 54, and also on the railway from Brno to Veselí nad Moravou. The industrial zone Olšíčka with its flat terrain is located on the southwestern outskirts, in close vicinity to a forest, and takes up an area of 6 ha (14.8 acres). The zone is completely owned by the local government. The local road connects the zone with the road from Vracov to Vacenovice. The distance to a railway with a railway siding is 500 m. By means of the first class road No. 54 (1 km from the zone's boundary) you can reach the Holubice entrance of the D1 motorway Praha - Brno - Olomouc, which is 45 km distant from the zone.

The suitable investment activities for this area would include assembly production, processing industry activities and their associated small business, formation of a commercial-enterprising zone of a regional character, and business centers. Within this zone, potential investors can obtain the advantages of the standard investment incentives offered (discounts on income taxes, special regime of custom duties), as well as other allowances, such as a subsidy of 200,000 CZK for every new job opportunity or a subsidy for retraining of employees which can reach up to 35% of the eligible business expenses. Because of the high rate of unemployment in this region, the minimum level of investment in order to qualify for these investment incentives has been reduced.
